Running back Wendell Smallwood and safety KJ Dillon became the fourth and fifth players from West Virginia to be selected during the 2016 NFL Draft.

Both Smallwood and Dillon were picked during the fifth round of the event on Saturday.

The Philadelphia Eagles took Smallwood with pick No. 153 and the Houston Texans grabbed Dillon with pick No. 159.

Smallwood bypassed his senior season in favor of the draft after winning the Big 12 rushing title in 2015. Smallwood ran for 1519 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior for the Mountaineers.

Dillon was utilized at West Virginia’s most critical defensive position, the spur. As a three-year starter, Dillon made 164 tackles. He recorded five interceptions too. Dillon also earned defensive MVP honors at 2014 AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
